Privacy Policy
Your prompts never leave your browser because of this extension.
TokenSense for Claude does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything it does happens on your device.
TokenSense for Claude (“the extension”) is an independent, unofficial Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. This policy explains exactly what the extension does with data.
What the extension does
When you use claude.ai, the extension reads the prompt you are about to send, estimates how difficult it is, and selects the lowest-cost Claude model that should handle it well (Haiku, Sonnet, Opus, or Fable). You choose how aggressive it is with three modes: Saver, Balanced, or Quality. You can also rate a routing choice with 👍 or 👎, and the extension uses those ratings to adjust future routing for you.
That is its only purpose: choosing a Claude model on claude.ai.
Data the extension accesses

The extension does not read your conversation history, account details, email address, payment information, or cookies, and it does not access any website other than claude.ai.
Permissions
The extension requests only what it needs for its single purpose:
- Access to
https://claude.ai/*: to read the prompt box and operate the model selector on claude.ai. storage: to save your settings and ratings locally on your device.- activeTab to interact with the currently open claude.ai tab when you open the extension popup.
Data retention and deletion
All data the extension stores stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing the extension's data or by uninstalling the extension, which deletes everything it saved.
Security
Because your data is not transmitted off your device by the extension, the main protection is that it never leaves your browser. The source code is public at github.com/Mithsah1325/TokenSense-for-Claude, so you can check this for yourself.
Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data held about you. Because the developer does not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or export on the developer's side. Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be described in the extension's release notes.
